The Paul Rupprecht Scholarship

    of the Minnesota Hungarians

The leadership of the Minnesota Hungarians (MH) on the initiative of Edith Lauer, president of the Hungarian American Coalition (HAC) to honor the memory of Paul Rupprecht, established this scholarship fund in 2002. The official name of the fund is Paul Rupprecht Scholarship.

Dedication to Paul Rupprecht

Paul Rupprecht for many years had been one of the prominent leaders of the Minnesota Hungarians. He was a member of the Hungarian Communion of Friends and first liaison of the MH to the HAC. Recognizing his talent and fairness, the Governor of Minnesota appointed Paul Rupprecht to the Governor's Commission on Eastern Europe for special assignment in 1990-1992. Paul had been a great help to the Hungarian refugees in 1956 and also helped Hungarian students during their stay and studies.
