We are happy to announce that the Hungarian language has been added to the Biliteracy Seal list. High school students can take an exam in Hungarian, and they are going to get a golden or platinum seal in their high school diploma, which for they will be able to get extra credit at college. Minnesota is one of the only two states, where high school students can take the
Hungarian language test.
Support Flood Relief in Transylvania & Parajd Salt Mine Disaster
Dear Friends, Thank You for Your Support – Fundraiser Continues!
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to our Flood Relief for Transylvania and Parajd Salt Mine Disaster fundraiser. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate $2,500 since June to help those in need.
The fundraiser continues and your support is still needed. Communities impacted by the floods and the Parajd salt mine crisis are rebuilding, and every donation counts. All contributions go directly to those affected.
In September, Csilla Grauzer, Honorary Consul of Hungary to Minnesota, will personally visit the devastated area again to deliver our community’s support and compassion.

Interested in learning Hungarian? New beginner conversation classes are starting soon--in January! These weekly 90 minutes classes focus entirely on practical, everyday communication, providing a relaxed, supportive environment where you can build confidence speaking from day one.
Whether you're planning a trip, connecting with your heritage, preparing for language competency for your Hungarian citizenship interview, or just love a good linguistic challenge, this class is designed to get you comfortable with essential phrases and common interactions.

MISI HUNGARIAN SCHOOL
2014 - 2024
April 6, 2014 marked the date that 23 excited children embarked on a new adventure-learning about their heritage and culture through the formal study of the Hungarian language. The school is the first of its kind for the over 130-year-old organization.
VIDÉKI DANCERS
The group perform dances done both within present day Hungary and by ethnic Hungarians outside the country’s current borders. Their colorful costumes, whirling dances, and fiery music preserve the vibrant traditions of Hungarian folk dance. The group practices weekly, except in the summer, and welcomes new members.
